2.4 litre Harley-Davidson and flying elephants
Harley-Davidson might have built the worlds largest V-twin with a massive 2.4 litre engine. If Triumph Rocket III is large this is XL! Harley-Davidson has emission tested two new models and we have had a look at some documents from the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Office of transportation and air quality which clearly states: FLHTRSHCE-Heritage Ultra Tail 2.450cc with a massive 112.5 mm bore. In comparison Kawasaki VN2000's bore is: 103mm and Triumph Rocket III: 101.6mm (but has got three cylinders and shorter stroke than the twins) Hold on for the torque figure: 133NM @3.500rpms. Extreme performance on a Harley, but dwarfed by both VN2000 (177NM@3.200rpms) and Rocket III (200NM@2.500rpms) power is incredible 132bhp@ 5000rpms and that makes the new Harley more powerful than both Kawasaki VN2000 and Honda VTX1800 and in the league with Triumph Rocket III that sports 140bhp. The other new Harley is a 2000cc V-twin with 110NM@ 3.400rpms and 108bhp @ 5000rpms and it is called Heritage Ultra Tail Special. None of this is confirmed, however we believe this might be 2007 models that puts the B in big again for the US firm. Picture: Softail Deluxe with the 1.450cc Twin Cam 88B engine. However good it sounds, after some more research it looks like this is just a project draft Harley has done. But they have obviously thought the thought themselves. Story by Tor Sagen
