Kawa GPZ550 schakelforum

Ik heb een GPZ550 gekocht (kon je in een andere thread lezen, bij ALGemene motorpraat)Aankoop kawasaki GPZ550

Maar nu blijkt dat je niet kan schakelen als de motor nog niet loopt. Ik had avies gevraagd van iemand op youtube die een GPZ550 video had gemaakt. Dit zei hij:

Hi Rob. I need to know more. When you say the other gears don't work please describe. bike won't shift at selector or it shifts and gears don't work? The only way to inspect is to split the cases. if it is the first you may have just some busted selector linkage external or internal. If the latter I would guess you have some mangled shift forks and dogs. Also if you mean that you can't move thru gears and are trying to do that without the engine running that's normal. The Kawasaki neutral finder mech will not allow you to shift past 1st gear without the motor running. There are ballbearings in the tranny counter shaft that expel with centrifugal force when the the motor is running and then it will shift normal.

Ik begrijp iets over lagers en centrifugale krachten, en dat het normaal schakelt als de motor loopt. Ik heb hier nog nooit van gehoord. is dit dus normaal kawasaki GPZ550 gedrag ?

je kunt niet naar de 2e versnelling zolang de uitgaande as niet draait.
zodra je het achterwiel snel genoeg draait, dan kan dat wel.
dat heet positive neutral finder.
en het is om het naar neutraal schakelen bij stilstand, te vergemakkelijken.

Ok, dit is dus normaal op de GPZ550. ik was al bang dat ik zoek moest naar een donorblok. Kan ik weer met een gerust hart verder sleutelen.
