I have 2 GR650s and they are well known for having air leaks between the carbs and the heads. Check the air itntake pipe for cracks and while your there remove both and check the state of the o-ring between the pipe and the head. Over time the rubber turns to hard plastic causing leaks and surging.
If I check the VIN Number is good against the papers and run the number through the RDW website like MTFDarkEagle says I should be ok. And surely it will get flagged at the Post Office when we make it over !!!
Hi guys
Sorry about the English but by the time I write it in Dutch the bike will have gone.
Im going to look at a bike. what can i check besides the vin number and the owners address on the papers ?
Cheers
Jak
Ha ha, started out as a general rant ,now it's become a bit racist in parts. Seems to have got a few a bit excited on here, calm down lads, it's xmas.
I'm off for a drink, suggest some of you should do the same... *:)
well glad to know I've made your day.
To many people only to happy to bend over nowadays.
Was a time when people would protest, now it's all bleedin moaning on face book and the like...
The whole point is, is that many people buy old timers to restore and only ever get used on weekends in good weather or for rallies.
I think a lot of people would not have bought an old timer if they knew they were going to get hit with another tax bill for somthing they hardly use.
I know...
