Bayliss gaat volgend jaar naar kawasaki en checa volgt hem op !de ducati is ook meer een fiets voor checa ipv de yamaha.in de duc zit wat meer leven is wel goed voor checa.

zozo, ik geloof dat Patrick van den Goorbergh ook zoiets zei. wel ff bron vermelden. ben bang dat Checa een hoop mooie manieren vind om te crashen en om zich eruit te lullen als ie niet presteerd. enne dat van Bayliss is ook beetje voorbarig. Hoffman mag toch blijven, en Bayliss gaat volgens geruchten ondertekenen bij Sito Pons(camel Honda) als teamgenoot Barros

Het feit dan Checa naar Marlboro Ducati gaat is het zoveelste trieste bewijs dat 'Money talks'.

Carlos Checa set a sensational lap time on the final day of Ducati Marlboro’s debut test with Bridgestone tyres at Jerez on Thursday, lapping almost two seconds inside Valentino Rossi’ lap record and almost a full second inside the Italian’s pole record with a time of 1’40.065.

"I’m obviously really happy with the results over the three days of the test,” said Checa, who moved from Yamaha at the end of the season. “The lap times speak for themselves and there isn’t much else to say except that this is the start of a long winter in which we will have to work hard to make sure our bike is competitive and capable of winning races.

Ik denk het niet. Jerez staat erom bekend dat er 's winters altijd veel snellere tijden gereden worden, omdat het dan niet zo heet is. De tijden van de wintertest geven dan ook altijd een vertekend beeld. (Er staat mij iets bij dat ze vorig jaar zelfs onder de 1:40 zijn gedoken tijdens de wintertest, maar dat weet ik niet meer 100% zeker)

Inderdaad de omstandigheden zijn nu beter qua temperatuur. Maar het belangrijkste punt is dat er geen druk op de ketel staat. die gasten kunnen natuurlijk allemaal verschrikkelijk hard rijden maar met name wanneer het er om gaat in een wedstrijd faalt Checa volledig.
