ik wil graag een beetje stoere motor en mag van me moeder een leuk motortje kopen mijn oog viel op de Y2K leuk geluidje rijd lekker en jah mijn vraag luid duz kan deze ook op 25 kw??

Marine Turbine Technologies has built the world's first turbine powered street legal motorcycle of its type. The single gear Y2K is powered by a 138 pound Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine engine running on diesel fuel. The bike has demonstrated over 300 horsepower, 425 ft/lbs of torque and a speed of 0 to 204 mph in 6.1 seconds on the Dyno Jet 200.

Franklin, LA - Marine Turbine Technologies has built the world's first turbine powered street legal motorcycle of its type. The single gear Y2K is powered by a 138 pound Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine engine running on diesel fuel. The bike has demonstrated over 300 horsepower, 425 ft/lbs of torque and a speed of 0 to 204 mph in 6.1 seconds on the Dyno Jet 200.

Limited in production, 10 to 12 bikes per year, and hand built of aluminum, the Y2K weighs in at just over 460 lbs, and rides like a sport bike with the acceleration of a top fuel dragster. Front and rear six piston caliper brakes will stop the 250 mph estimated top speed bike. The Y2K has a seat height of 31.5 inches, a 71 inch wheel base and Pirelli tires on the 17 inch wheels: 120 front, 200 rear.


Innovation and superior craftsmanship are apparent, from the carbon fiber wheels to the rear view mirror which consists of a camera with a TV monitor located in the custom dash panel.


Marine Turbine Technology, as its names implies, has a strong market in turbine powered boats, recreational and commericial, but also has made a turbine powered Chevy S-10. This lead naturally to a turbine powered motorcycle. States Ted McIntyre, President of MTT, "When you ride this bike down Main Street in Daytona, you steal everybody's thunder." "We're not only American-made," says McIntyre, "but we're made in Louisiana, not California, where people expect this kind of bike to come from."


The Y2K debuted in Daytona this past year at the Cycle World Pavillion and plans a return visit to Bike Week next year. It won't be easy to miss by style or speed, but also by the distinctive turbine sound its engine makes. Or you can travel to Louisiana to see, and if you're qualified, to ride the bike - that is if your hand doesn't cramp up from signing all the legally required waivers. MTT's staff of only 15 builds such a quality vehicle that McIntyre offers a lifetime warranty on the engine. "I figure if you're a good enough rider to blow the engine and live, I'll replace it for you," said McIntyre.


At $225,000, the Y2K Turbine Superbike was designed and built for the ultimate connoisseur.
