"Regarding the use of cupper (or other heat resistant) grease is normally used only with roadbike applications from which brake noise might be an issue.
For racing, I do not recommend to use any type of grease at contact points between backing plate and pistons/caliper – just keep it clean and free from dust. Always good to keep pistons slightly lubricated with ie ATE brake grease to keep piston seals in good shape – this require certainly a continuously cleaning of caliper/pistons (water-soap solution / NO brake cleaner inside caliper) since brake grease will catch brake dust, that you do not want to be distributed into the seals."
"Regarding lubricate of caliper pistons – when all resampled as you have done now, then pump out the pistons as far as possible without popping out of the caliper-bore and use a small brush to lubricate the pistons with ie ATE brake grease, push the pistons in-out-in-out until pistons are moving easily with very little sticking in the seals. Then your calipers are working OK."
"Regarding your brake discs, what is on your disc surface is most probably a bit of rust/corrosion from the DC pad material which contains some iron-particles. You could give the discs an easy scratch with Scottsbrite, #150 grit emery paper or a special brake disc diamond sole file. But, be careful so you do not damage the disc surface (making “hill” & valleys”) to give you brake vibrations."
