Not many of us - and a surprisingly small proprortion of motorcycles use the car tire.
I guess even though motorcycle riders think differently than car drivers, the car tire is still too far outside the box for most.
My tire was and is a squared profile. There are a few UTube videos of motorcycle rides with a car tire on the rear and close up views fo the tire during the rides. [they are referenced in one or more of the darkside strings on the Forum. The tire never leaves the flat surface; only slightly rolling to one side or the other. Never sees the sidewall - this is not, NOT an issue. The car tire has a softer, more flexible sidewall than the motorcycle tire and the tire flexes rather than rolls over.
This means there is a subtle hesitancy initiating a turn - barely noticeable and quickly becoming part of your routine. I like the car tire a lot, as you can tell.
All that said, I will plan to use the winter tread all year round - just expecting better wear than a summer tire. I don't think it will be all that much stiffer than a summer weight tire.
