After the first four rounds of the 2015 MotoGP season, engine use is as follows.
Factory Teams (5 engines)
Repsol Honda – Though not yet listed as Withdrawn From Allocation on the official sheet, engine #2 in Marquez’ set of five was damaged at CotA, as he admitted to MotoMatters. This engine was raced at Losail, then failed during Q2 in Austin, forcing Marquez to park the bike against the pit wall and sprint back to his box for his second bike. His engine #3 was placed into use for the CotA warm up, then raced in Argentina. So Marquez has four engines for the remainder of the season, with engine #1 having been raced twice and #3 having been raced once. Engines #4 and #5 have not yet been opened.
Pedrosa’s allotment has been used by Hiro Aoyama since the CotA round, and only engine #1 has been raced. He has three engines unopened.
Movistar Yamaha – Rossi has three unopened engines, having raced #1 twice and #2 twice.
Lorenzo has three unopened engines, having raced #1 once and #2 three times.
Tech 3 Yamaha – Pol Espargaro has three unopened engines, having raced #1 once and #2 three times.
Smith has three unopened engines, having used #1 in the first three races and #2 at Jerez.
LCR Honda – Crutchlow has raced engine #2 four times, and has three unopened engines.
Marc VDC Honda – Redding has three unopened engines, having raced engine #2 at Losail and engine #1 in the following three rounds.
Factory Option Teams (12 engines)
Ducati – Of his 12 engines, Dovizioso opened #3 at Jerez and used it in the race, having used #2 in the first two rounds and #1 in the third round.
Iannone raced engine #1 in the first two rounds, engine #2 in Argentina, and #3 in Jerez. Engine #1 was withdrawn from allocation after Q2 at Jerez, though it had not been used since FP1 of round 3. He has 11 engines remaining.
Pramac Ducati – Petrucci has opened three engines, racing #1 in the first three rounds and #3 at Jerez. #2 has not been raced yet.
Hernandez has opened three engines. #1 was raced at CotA, #2 was raced at Losail, then Argentina, then withdrawn from allocation. At Jerez he opened engine #3 and used it in every session, including the race. He has 11 engines remaining.
Ecstar Suzuki – Aleix Espargaro has opened two engines and raced #1 in each of the first four races.
Viñales has opened two engines, racing #2 at Losail and #1 in the next three rounds.
Gresini Aprilia – Melandri is the only rider to have removed two engines from allocation. #1 was used in three sessions at Losail, then removed from allocation after qualifying. Engine #2 was used at the first four rounds, though never raced, then removed from allocation as of the Jerez warm up. At Losail, Melandri’s engine #3 was opened for warm up, then used in the race. At CotA Engine #3 was used in each session he rode (all but Q2) including the warm up, but then has not been used since. Engine #4 was used for the CotA warm up, then raced. It was used for FP sessions in rounds 3 and 4. Engine #4 was opened for warm up and then raced in Argentina, then not used again until warm up and then raced at Jerez. Melandri has 10 engines available.
Bautista has opened four engines, having raced all but #1. All four engines were used at least once at Jerez. Similar to Melandri’s use, Bautista also opened an engine for warm up and then raced it at rounds 2 and 4. Bautista has 12 engines available.
Open Teams (12 engines)
Athena Forward Yamaha – Bradl has opened three engines and raced #3 in each the four rounds to date. Engine #1 was removed from allocation at Losail, having been used for only two seasons, FP2 and FP3. He has 11 engines available.
Baz has opened two engines, racing #1 in the first three rounds and #2 at Jerez. He has 12 engines available.
Aspar Honda – Hayden has opened two engines, using #1 in the first race, then #2 in the following three races. He has 12 engines available.
Laverty has opened two engines, using #1 in the first race, then #2 in the following three races. He has 12 engines available.
Cardion AB Honda – Abraham has opened three engines. #1 was raced at Losail and used in each round since, but removed from allocation as of the Jerez warm up. Engine #3 was raced at rounds 2, 3 and 4. He has 11 engines available.
LCR Honda – Miller has opened three engines, racing #2 in the first two rounds and #1 in the next two rounds. #3 has been used in practice at Argentina and Jerez but not raced. He has 12 engines available.
Avintia Ducati – Barbera has opened two engines, racing #1 in the first, third and fourth rounds. He has 12 engines available.
Di Meglio has opened two engines, racing #1 in the first, third and fourth rounds. He has 12 engines available.
IodaRacing Aprilia – DeAngelis has opened two engines, having raced each twice. He has 12 engines available.
